The Nanny Advisor
says there is nothing more important than taking good care of our
children.
Because
the nanny-family relationship is so important to the well-being of
our precious children, I want to share what twenty years of service
as a nanny have taught me about how to find and keep the very best
childcare. Whether you use an agency or conduct the search for childcare
on your own, the process can be confusing and stressful.
| The
articles, tips and books on this
website are crafted to be of service to families, to engage
them in some fun self-discovery, to assist them in making the
best choices about childcare and to provide practical, expert
advice on how to sustain and nurture the nanny-family relationship.
As a nanny, I can only work with one or two families at a time.
Through this website, my books and workshops, I can share what
I have learned with thousands of families. |
Everything
involving our children offers us an opportunity for self-discovery
and growth that can be enlivening and rewarding. During my years
of experience with many different types of families, I have identified
some simple tools and methods that can help any family go through
the process of finding the perfect childcare with ease and even
enjoyment.
When
you start with the best choice, it is more likely that you will
have the kind of long term relationship with your childcare provider
that gives the continuity children need. This helps create the stable
foundation that is so important for the growth and learning of our
young ones.
I offer
this information with love and with gratitude for being of service
to the most important people around….our children.

Nanny
Advice
When
calling references for nanny background checks try this:
After you identify yourself
and the purpose of your call, ask “Is this a good time to
talk?”
Ask some friendly questions about the person’s family to establish
a rapport.
Make your questions yield the most information. For example, “What
were some of
the things you enjoyed most about (the nanny candidate)?”
Or, “What do your children say
about (the nanny candidate)?”
